Morning Festivities at Edmonds Street (11 am-2:30 pm)
Kickstart your Canada Day celebrations at 7433 Edmonds Street. From 11 am to 2:30 pm, the street will be buzzing with live entertainment, children’s activities, and games. The highlight of the event is the delicious cake that symbolizes the sweetness of Canadian unity and diversity.

The celebrations continue at 6501 Deer Lake Avenue, where the Burnaby Village Museum offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and explore the rich histories of Burnaby’s communities. From 11 am to 4:30 pm, you can enjoy multicultural entertainment, face-painting for children, and engaging exhibits that bring history to life. Evening Gala at Civic Square (6:30 pm-10:30 pm)
As the sun sets, the festivities move to Civic Square, Central Boulevard, and Central Park. Starting at 6:30 pm and lasting until 10:30 pm, this family-friendly event features a special zone for kids, activities for all ages, food trucks offering a variety of cuisines, music, dance, and live concerts that will have you tapping your feet. The grand finale is a spectacular fireworks show at 10:15 pm in Central Park that will light up the night sky and leave you in awe.

The spirit of the Giro di Burnaby is alive with the return of the Girolino for kids presented by Appia Development. Burnaby brings a pedal and dash event open to all kids aged 5-11 at Confederation Park. Helmets are mandatory and bikes must be in good working order to participate.
Cost: $5 (Registration is full. Add your name to the Wait List)
Medium course (7-8 years old): 700 m bike/500 m run
Long course (9-11 years old): 1050 m bike/500 m run

9 am: The race starts with staggered age groups
10:15 am: Medal presentations by Burnaby City Council
