Canada Day is a special occasion that brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate the unity and diversity of our great nation. This year, the city of Burnaby is hosting a series of events that promise to make this Canada Day a memorable one.
Morning Festivities at Edmonds Street (11 am-2:30 pm)
Kickstart your Canada Day celebrations at 7433 Edmonds Street. From 11 am to 2:30 pm, the street will be buzzing with live entertainment, children’s activities, and games. The highlight of the event is the delicious cake that symbolizes the sweetness of Canadian unity and diversity.

Afternoon Delight at Deer Lake Avenue (11 am-4:30 pm)
The celebrations continue at 6501 Deer Lake Avenue, where the Burnaby Village Museum offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and explore the rich histories of Burnaby’s communities. From 11 am to 4:30 pm, you can enjoy multicultural entertainment, face-painting for children, and engaging exhibits that bring history to life. Evening Gala at Civic Square (6:30 pm-10:30 pm)
As the sun sets, the festivities move to Civic Square, Central Boulevard, and Central Park. Starting at 6:30 pm and lasting until 10:30 pm, this family-friendly event features a special zone for kids, activities for all ages, food trucks offering a variety of cuisines, music, dance, and live concerts that will have you tapping your feet. The grand finale is a spectacular fireworks show at 10:15 pm in Central Park that will light up the night sky and leave you in awe.

Transportation
With two SkyTrain stations (Patterson and Metrotown) and a bus loop at Metrotown nearby, reaching the festival venues is easy and convenient. We encourage you to use public transit, cycle, or walk to the events.
Food and Beverages
Food trucks will be located near Central Park and Civic Square. Local restaurants are encouraged.
