Burnaby has 4 city official designated town centers: Metrotown, Highgate/Edmonds, Lougheed and Brentwood. All these centres are growing with new residential developments. The City Hall is in the centre of the city at Canada Way and Kensington/Sperling plus Deer Lake Parkway. Recently, Metrotown was designated as the “official city centre” for Burnaby. Burnaby’s location is extremely central making it very convenient to drive or take transit into Vancouver, New Westminster and Surrey. Richmond and the airport is an easy commute. Transit in Burnaby is in abundance with bus routes and 10 SkyTrain stations with both the Millennium, Expo and Evergreen lines. Running through Burnaby is the Number 1 Highway for quick and easy commutes as well as several other major arteries for convenient access in and out of the city: Marine Dr, Kingsway, Canada Way, Lougheed Highway and Hastings St.
